With a population of 70,000, Estepona is the largest municipality in the Western part of the Costa del Sol, located between the Sierra Bermeja mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea. It is very atmospheric and has managed to retain its Andalusian village charm, with a warren of narrow cobbled streets adorned with flower pots bursting with flowers in bloom; cosy squares full of cafes and family life, open air markets with fresh produce and a good variety of shops and supermarkets.
Fronting the town is a long wide beach with a beautiful promenade that runs the length of the town full of outdoor bars and fish restaurants. Estepona has a working fishing port which provides the restaurants with their daily catch. The adjoining Marina is home to number of bars and restaurants, and boasts a vibrant night life.
Estepona has a wide range of top class amenities and is in close to 12 golf courses and lots of sporting facilities.
